    About Dr. Joseph Frey, PhD, ABPP

    Psychologist Joseph Frey operates Psychological Specialists of Augusta in addition to serving as a partner at Partners in Achievement, which is also located in Augusta, Georgia. Joseph Frey also has an independent practice and teaches at the Medical College of Georgia, where he is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Prior to these current positions, Dr. Frey worked at Comprehensive Psychological Services, operated an earlier independent practice, and taught at the University of Alabama-Birmingham as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. At the University of Alabama, he also served as the Chief Psychologist of the Children and Youth Project in the Division of Adolescent Medicine within the school’s Department of Pediatrics.

    Joseph Frey received his doctorate in psychology from Georgia State University, where he studied clinical psychology with a focus on families. Before then he earned a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and Marquette University, respectively. Joseph Frey currently lives in Augusta with his wife, with whom he has two children.
